30.08.2023Workshop: Rocket Raccoon and Guardians of Software Testing
What if work could be a game? Imagine blasting away a boring task with a cosmic blaster and earning rewards for it.
What if you weren't just a tester, but a hero in a cosmic saga, destined to defend quality against intergalactic crutches?
In this workshop, we'll share our experience of injecting a bit of gaming into our work and guide you through this journey.
Each participant will become a member of the Hero Academy:
- We'll discuss and select goals for our mission.
- Create a roadmap, which doubles as a task list (achievements) to complete.
- Explore the challenging meteors that await us during execution.
- And choose rewards for successful completion.
In the end, every graduate will have a list of achievements they can apply to their work.

06.10.2022Mobile App Upgrade Testing
After a version upgrade, have users lost data or their settings, or has an endless download process been displayed? If you are familiar with these problems, I suggest we figure out how to make a test suite that covers important areas for version upgrade testing.
I'll share our approach for updates-testing using mobile apps as an example.

25.01.2021How to perform usability testing if you are not the UX Expert?
Still thinking that usability testing is:
- the area of responsibility only for an experienced UX expert;
- work for the whole laboratory;
- long, expensive and extremely resourceful;
- difficult and unclear where to begin with?
I will tell you how an ordinary engineer without deep expertise in UX can conduct usability testing. How to enforce your results with arguments and not be subjective using "easy/not easy".

03.01.2019Features of subscriptions testing in iOS
I want to talk about the features of subscriptions testing in iOS, depending on the types of subscriptions and a life-cycle. Lift the veil of the black box and show how the recipe looks like, what useful information it contains for the tester and how it will help you in your work. I'd like to share features, and, probably, to save someone time and prevent problems by sharing my experience and observations when testing subscriptions.
